1stD(escent) of The NuJiang, Tibet

a collection of photos that loosely tell the tale of our March 2007 expedition of the NuJiang in eastern tibet.

There is a piece of carpet thats been cut to cover the new piece of tapestry. This courtyard is the roof of another room below. The village was a single line of houses with livestock below with storage of grain. On the level of the courtyard you find the kitchen and stove and one bedroom. Then there is one big room on the top floor that sleeps the rest of the family. There are no stairs inside, only in the courtyards, with a notched log going down to the lowest level. ........ 1/10 sec at f / 18 18 mm ISO 500
